Traditionally, lasers come in 2 options: ablative and non-ablative. Hybrid offers both options in a single pass, addressing both mild concerns in the epidermis (the top layer) and more severe skin issues in the dermis (the deeper layer) during the same treatment. This gives you more dramatic, comprehensive results and reduces your total downtime.

Before treatment, our laser specialists will evaluate your skin to determine the best option to meet your needs. If we move forward with treatment, here’s what you can expect:

• Getting comfortable: We’ll apply a topical numbing agent to your skin to help manage any discomfort.
• Customizing your settings:
• Starting your treatment: You’ll experience a warming sensation as the laser is applied to your skin. This warming sensation typically lasts until 30 minutes after the treatment.

The first few days after treatment, your skin will feel warm and tight and have a slightly rough texture to the touch. Within a week, the roughened skin will flake lightly, revealing fresh new skin underneath. It’s important to avoid sun exposure and keep skin in the treatment area well-moisturized until you have fully healed. 

You can expect four to seven days of downtime. Recovery looks like a mild to moderate sunburn and swelling with "coffee ground appearance" throughout the skin. On average, most patients get to enjoy silky-smooth skin that lasts for anywhere between three and five years after undergoing laser therapy.
